Our little Gioco, or affectionately called Gio, has now been living with us for 10 weeks. The wild first few weeks are slowly giving way to an exciting everyday routine.
Our journey to owning a Lagotto Romagnolo began with the dream of having our own truffle trees. How do you actually collect and find them? With a Lagotto, of course! But how do you find the best breeder? In my opinion, it's a matter of trusting your heart. How does the owner care for the dogs and truly encourage them in what they love? And how transparent can such a breeder really be? We wanted to be involved from the very beginning, to see how our new companion grows up and how well cared for they are. We found all of this with Nadine and Carsten. From the very start, we were included in every single step imaginable. Watching the puppies grow up, with all their funny little quirks, was magical. You count the days and hours... but being able to see the little nuggets all the time and observe their development keeps you so engrossed that the time flies by.
And once the little treasure has finally moved in, the support doesn't end there, of course. Puppy playdates, grooming classes, or truffle hunting – Nadine is always the right person to talk to and keeps the whole gang together. Fantastic, isn't it? Exactly what a responsible dog lover is looking for! For Nadine, dogs aren't commodities or a means to an end, but full-fledged family members. Looking back, we couldn't have made a better choice, and we're so happy to be on this journey with Nadine and Carsten – because it doesn't end with the handover. We're looking forward to the next few years with our treasure, Gio, and a responsible, helpful breeder with heart and soul! Who knows, maybe we'll get more than one Lagotto – who can resist those curls? ;)

Little Gaeta has now been living with us for a week and we can't imagine our lives without her!
I have been following your breeding program on Instagram since your A-litter, having become aware of it through the photos in the Mc Nuggets boxes, and have always said that if I ever get another Lagotto, I would prefer to get it from you!
We hadn't expected it to happen so quickly. After we had somewhat overcome the shock of our dog's far too early death, it became quite clear that a life without a Lagotto is possible, but pointless for us…
It was immediately clear: if we were to have puppies, they would most likely be from you! A quick look at your website and your planned litter with two females, Armani and Borea, was in order.
The application was written quickly, we spoke on the phone immediately afterwards, and a few days later we met in person.
Then we had to wait for the girls to come into heat. Armani was the first, Borea followed four weeks later, then the call came that we would be getting a puppy from one of the litters.
From then on, we were overjoyed and eagerly awaited the pregnancies, and then came the first birth: Armani gave birth to 5 puppies. And a day later, the call that we were part of this litter!
We were able to follow everything 24/7 via the webcam,
A huge thank you for this! We were then able to visit the puppies twice, and at that point we didn't yet know which one would be coming home with us, but it didn't matter, they were all so adorable! And then, just before the third visit, we got the call that little Gaeta would be joining our family!

Schon beim ersten Telefonat, in dem es um die Allergie von Boris ging, hatten wir das Gefühl, bei euch als Züchter gut aufgehoben zu sein. Das hat sich beim Kennenlernen bei euch in Marl und später beim Besuchen der Welpen fortgesetzt. Als Ersthundeanwärter hatten wir viele Fragen. Und keine davon war euch zu unwichtig um sie zu beantworten. Eure Leidenschaft für die Lagotti und deren Zucht zeigt sich in euren tollen Welpen und eurem großen Wissen rund um diese wunderbare Rasse.
Jetzt ist Fjella schon 6 Monate alt und tobt durch unser Leben und wir sind dankbar, dass sie unser Leben bereichert. Als Begleiterin bei unseren Wanderungen (und hoffentlich später auch auf dem Wasser), als Kuschelpartnerin wenn man von der Schule kommt oder einfach so, wenn sie einen immer wieder neu begrüßt als wäre man Jahrhunderte weg gewesen (obwohl man nur was aus dem Keller geholt hat).
Für alle, die überlegen einen Hund aus eurer Zucht zu holen können wir nur sagen: go for it! Wir können Nadine und Carsten und ihre Hunde von Herzen empfehlen.

The visits were incredibly relaxed, and Nadine and Carsten created a welcoming, family-like atmosphere so that we, Maple, and the puppies all felt comfortable.
The most exciting day was when we decided which puppy would be joining our family. With Oslo, we got a puppy with lots of energy, and Nadine was able to alleviate our initial concerns with her experience and helpful tips. No matter what we've had to ask, we've always been able to contact her and received a prompt reply. Her dedication to supporting the puppy families is truly remarkable and demonstrates her passion for breeding. We couldn't be happier with our Oslo and would choose Nadine as our breeder again in a heartbeat.

Es gibt Momente im Leben, in denen man einfach nur dankbar sein kann – und dieser gehört definitiv dazu. Mit Tino habe ich nicht nur einen Hund bekommen, sondern einen echten Freund und Seelenbegleiter. Er macht jeden Tag zu etwas Besonderem.
Schon lange habe ich darauf hin gefiebert, endlich wieder einen Hund in meinem Leben zu haben. Im Jahr 2025 war es schließlich so weit. Die Entscheidung, welcher Hund und welche Rasse es werden sollte, habe ich sorgfältig getroffen. Für mich stand fest, dass es ein Welpe von einem guten Züchter sein sollte – ein Hund, mit dem man „Pferde stehlen“ kann und der für jedes Abenteuer bereit ist. Wichtig war mir auch, dass er sich mit meinen beiden Katern versteht und auch mal zwei Stunden in Savasana liegen kann, während ich meine Yogastunden gebe. Ich wollte einen echten Lebensbegleiter.
Mit Tino habe ich genau den Hund bekommen, den ich mir gewünscht habe:
• Er liegt immer als Erster auf der Yogamatte – oft auch auf den Matten meiner Schüler ๐
• Tino ist ein echter Katzenflüsterer. Wenn die drei auf dem Sofa liegen, muss ich ins Körbchen ๐
• Er macht entspannt jeden Ausflug mit – ob im Auto, im Fahrradanhänger oder in der Bergbahn.
• Mit anderen Hunden versteht er sich hervorragend und zeigt seiner besten Freundin Paquita, einem Angsthund, das Leben von seiner schönsten Seite.
• Im Umgang mit Kindern verhält er sich intuitiv genau richtig.
• Im Homeoffice liegt Tino entspannt unter dem Tisch oder schaut verträumt aus dem Fenster.
• Und die Kuscheleinheiten morgens im Bett möchte ich auch nicht mehr missen
Dass all das so wunderbar funktioniert, habe ich im Wesentlichen euch zu verdanken, liebe Nadine und lieber Carsten. I came across Nadine and Carsten's dog breeding program through Instagram at the beginning of 2022. We are avid sailors, and I was curious how and if it would work with a dog on board. I had to convince my husband to get a dog; my boys were with me from the start.
So I simply wrote to Nadine and was very happy when she replied to me directly.
After that, I was an avid reader of the very detailed and easy-to-read website for over a year and an enthusiastic follower on Instagram. The time wasn't right for a dog yet. Then, in March 2023, the moment finally arrived, and my husband gave me the most wonderful present: a Lagotto Romagnolo to join our family.
Initially, we looked for breeders close to home, but unfortunately the female dog did not come into heat, and these breeders suggested that we also contact other breeders.
Since I had repeatedly sent Nadine short messages via Instagram during the C-litter and she had regularly replied, we decided to take the plunge and only in July did we inquire about the D-litter and fill out the questionnaire.
The first time I spoke to Nadine was very shortly before the whelping date, and we had a super open conversation, and it was actually clear that the D-litter was already completely reserved and that we were firmly scheduled for the E-litter.
One day later, the D-litter puppies arrived, and thanks to Nadine, we were kept up-to-date via WhatsApp. Despite the puppy chaos, she checked in every now and then. We hadn't even planned on getting a puppy from the D-litter. Then, when the puppies were just one week old, she asked if we would consider taking one at short notice. And of course, we were more than happy to oblige… and we eagerly watched every new photo and video of the puppies multiple times, completely falling in love with the little ones, and especially with Diletta.
And then we got Diletta, whom we were so proud and happy to pick up on October 7th, 2023. She enriches our family and charms everyone with her Italian flair. Nadine and Carsten live for their wonderful and loving breeding program and for preparing the puppies so well for the world. Even for our initially reserved Diletta, city life has never been a problem: passing trams, honking cars…
We humans really thought that this would be a shock for the puppy. But we were wrong!
Dear Nadine and Carsten, thank you for our beloved dog, Diletta, who truly completes our lives! We wouldn't want to be without our cuddly sweetheart and sock thief (how can she look so adorable while doing that?). You do such a wonderful job with your loving breeding program. Das Leben steckt voller Überraschungen und unerwarteter Momente.
Nach 5 Jahren Hundeabstinenz überraschte mich mein Mann mit der Überlegung, wieder einen Hund in unser Leben zu holen.
Auf der Suche nach einer für uns passenden Rasse stießen wir auf die sehr informative Homepage von Nadine.
Nach einem Besuch bei Nadine und Carsten und dem Kennenlernen Ihrer beiden Lagotti fühlten wir uns bestärkt in der Entscheidung, unser Leben mit einem Lagotto-Romagnolo zu bereichern.
Nadine und Carsten waren uns auf Anhieb sympathisch – auch, weil sie das gleiche Hobby teilen wie wir.
Und dann geht man im Leben doch mal Umwege, was sicher auch an meiner Ungeduld und unserer Unerfahrenheit mit der Rasse und dem Erwerb eines Welpen lag.
Es war noch nicht klar, wann Maple wieder ihre Hitze bekommt und wie viele Welpen dann wohl zur Welt kommen würden. So ergab sich durch einen Zufall, dass ein Lagotto Welpe namens Alou am 06.03.2022 bei uns einzog. In der folgenden Zeit haben uns Nadine und Carsten immer bei unseren Fragen weitergeholfen. Eine riesen Hilfe war für uns das bei Nadine absolvierte Einzel-Grooming von Alou bei dem wir lernten, wie man einen Lagotto richtig schneidet. Wir hielten einen intensiveren Kontakt und Nadine begleitete mich auf dem Weg, Alou als Zuchtrüden zuzulassen und Ausstellungen zu meistern.
Besonders glücklich sind wir darüber, dass Nadine und Carsten sich entschlossen hatten, Alou als Deckrüden für ihren D-Wurf mit Maple zu nehmen.
So kamen am 13.08.2023 8 gesunde Welpen zur Welt und in uns reifte der Gedanke, einen weiteren Rüden zu uns zu nehmen. So zog am 07.10.2023 unser Herzens-Nugget bei uns ein. Es war eine besondere Erfahrung das Aufwachsen der Welpen so intensiv mitzubekommen, da uns eine Web-Cam jeden Tag die Entwicklung der Nuggets aus der Welpenbox als auch später aus dem Garten zeigte. Eine große Freude hatten wir daran, dass wir die Nuggets mehrfach in Marl besuchen konnten. Wir sind begeistert davon, was Nadine und Carsten alles mit den Nuggets machen und für die Nuggets aufbauen, um sie bestmöglich auf das Leben vorzubereiten. Dazu gehört auch der Wesenstest, der uns im Umgang mit Duka, unserem Nugget, ebenfalls eine Hilfe ist. Denn, obwohl eine Familie, sind Vater und Sohn im Wesen sehr unterschiedlich.
Die beiden sind ein Herz und eine Seele und Duka genau der richtige Zweithund für uns.

Nach 5 Jahren Hundeabstinenz überraschte mich mein Mann mit der Überlegung, wieder einen Hund in unser Leben zu holen.
Auf der Suche nach einer für uns passenden Rasse stießen wir auf die sehr informative Homepage von Nadine.
Nach einem Besuch bei Nadine und Carsten und dem Kennenlernen Ihrer beiden Lagotti fühlten wir uns bestärkt in der Entscheidung, unser Leben mit einem Lagotto-Romagnolo zu bereichern.
Nadine und Carsten waren uns auf Anhieb sympathisch – auch, weil sie das gleiche Hobby teilen wie wir.
Und dann geht man im Leben doch mal Umwege, was sicher auch an meiner Ungeduld und unserer Unerfahrenheit mit der Rasse und dem Erwerb eines Welpen lag.
Es war noch nicht klar, wann Maple wieder ihre Hitze bekommt und wie viele Welpen dann wohl zur Welt kommen würden. So ergab sich durch einen Zufall, dass ein Lagotto Welpe namens Alou am 06.03.2022 bei uns einzog. In der folgenden Zeit haben uns Nadine und Carsten immer bei unseren Fragen weitergeholfen. Eine riesen Hilfe war für uns das bei Nadine absolvierte Einzel-Grooming von Alou bei dem wir lernten, wie man einen Lagotto richtig schneidet. Wir hielten einen intensiveren Kontakt und Nadine begleitete mich auf dem Weg, Alou als Zuchtrüden zuzulassen und Ausstellungen zu meistern.
Besonders glücklich sind wir darüber, dass Nadine und Carsten sich entschlossen hatten, Alou als Deckrüden für ihren D-Wurf mit Maple zu nehmen.
So kamen am 13.08.2023 8 gesunde Welpen zur Welt und in uns reifte der Gedanke, einen weiteren Rüden zu uns zu nehmen. So zog am 07.10.2023 unser Herzens-Nugget bei uns ein. Es war eine besondere Erfahrung das Aufwachsen der Welpen so intensiv mitzubekommen, da uns eine Web-Cam jeden Tag die Entwicklung der Nuggets aus der Welpenbox als auch später aus dem Garten zeigte. Eine große Freude hatten wir daran, dass wir die Nuggets mehrfach in Marl besuchen konnten. Wir sind begeistert davon, was Nadine und Carsten alles mit den Nuggets machen und für die Nuggets aufbauen, um sie bestmöglich auf das Leben vorzubereiten. Dazu gehört auch der Wesenstest, der uns im Umgang mit Duka, unserem Nugget, ebenfalls eine Hilfe ist. Denn, obwohl eine Familie, sind Vater und Sohn im Wesen sehr unterschiedlich.
Die beiden sind ein Herz und eine Seele und Duka genau der richtige Zweithund für uns.

We had wanted a dog for a long time. Now that our living circumstances finally suited a life with a dog, the search for a Lagotto Romagnolo breeder began, because we had fallen in love with this breed.
It wasn't long before we came across Nadine and Carsten, and we had a really good and, above all, reputable impression from our visit to their website and our first contact.
Once it was decided that a puppy from this breeder would be joining our family, Nadine tirelessly kept us updated. From Maple's pregnancy through the birth and into the puppies' first weeks, thanks to WhatsApp and webcams, we felt like we were always there, not only watching the little ones develop, but also witnessing how lovingly and wholeheartedly Nadine and Carsten cared for Mama Maple and her puppies.

Liebe Nadine, lieber Carsten,
ihr beiden und natürlich eure Maple habt uns den kleinen Diario beschert. Wir haben bereits einen Logotto aus einer anderen Zucht und wollten einen zweiten Logotto mit dem wir gemeinsam durchs Leben gehen. Da wir keinen zweiten Welpen aus der ersten Zucht bekommen konnten (Zucht wurde zunächst einmal eingestellt), haben wir uns auf den Weg nach einer neuen Zucht gemacht. Dabei bin ich auf eure Website gestoßen und hatte direkt ein gutes Bauchgefühl. Dieses gute Gefühl hat sich vollkommen bestätigt. denn wir wurden von Anfang an sehr gut mitgenommen und immer über den aktuellen Stand der Trächtigkeit und dann auch die Welpen informiert. Wir waren fast live bei der Geburt dabei und haben mitgefiebert, welche Welpen Maple zur Welt brachte. Über die Webcamp konnten wir erleben, wie liebevoll Maple bei der Aufzucht der Jungen war. Ihr habt uns immer informiert, wenn ihr etwas Neues mit den Welpen gemacht habt und habt sehr transparent gemacht, welche Welpen ihr für wen vorgesehen habt. Das war für uns das Überzeugendste an der Zucht, dass ihr bestimmt habt, welcher Welpe zu wem passt. Und Diario passt perfekt zu uns. Er ist sehr wesensfest und ruht in sich, was bei unserem Großen sehr gut ist, der schon mal schnell auf Touren kommt. Er ist sehr mutig und geht offen durch die Welt, dabei lernt er sehr schnell, natürlich auch Unsinn, wie nach dem Fressen den Futternapf verschleppen, wenn man nicht schnell genug ist und ihn sichert. Schön ist, dass wir bereits ein erstes Treffen mit einigen seiner Geschwister und deren neuen Familien in eurem Garten hatten. Es war so schön zu sehen, wie sich die kleinen Racker entwickelt haben, irgendwie hat man dabei immer das Gefühl, dass wir Mitglied der D-Nugget-Familie sind. Toll, dass ihr auch nach der Abgabe der Welpen mit Rat und Tat zur Seite steht und immer mitfiebert, wie es bei uns weitergeht.

From my very first visit to your website, I immediately felt welcome, and the initial phone call after my application only reinforced that first impression. These are people who breed with love, passion, and a wealth of knowledge. As a first-time dog owner, this still gives me a great deal of reassurance, as I can ask questions at any time. We met in person for the first time in December 2022, and in January 2023, I learned that I would be part of the C-litter family. Now patience was required, as Aurora's heat cycle was slow to start. But anticipation is, as they say, the greatest joy. It remained nerve-wracking, but 1.5 matings with Tamo were sufficient. *g* The big day on May 6, 2023, will always be a cherished memory, because while my cousin was celebrating his wedding, Aurora gave birth to six healthy puppies, and the whole family eagerly followed along. Thanks to WhatsApp and webcam, I felt close to the action despite the 500 km distance. I also visited the little rascals at the end of May and again in mid-June. More and more often, I found myself wondering which of the little nuggets I would choose. On the very day of the temperament test, I received the wonderful call from Nadine – Candelaro would be moving in with me. A calm and relaxed puppy, he slept soundly through the pickup on July 1st, 2023. He had to be woken up for the photo, and then we headed straight home – still asleep, of course. Nadine's assessment was spot on. Cando – as we now call him – is a perfect fit for me and has settled in quickly. He is well-balanced, friendly, cuddly, outgoing, and curiously explores his surroundings. Cando handles new situations without much trouble and often surprises me. His excellent socialization and the varied early days he had with you are clearly evident. From the very beginning, he has accompanied me to the office or kept me company while I work from home. Cando brings so much joy not only to me and my family but has also won the hearts of colleagues, neighbors, and everyone else. Our miniature poodle was our constant companion for 15 years. How empty a house can feel without a pet! Our children are long since grown and have moved out, and now we were missing a dog too. But it was always clear that we wanted another dog, and we were incredibly excited about getting a puppy. After weeks of searching, we finally met our first Lagotto Romagnolo by chance in Kassel. The owner was very forthcoming and completely happy with her companion. From then on, there was no doubt in our minds: this was the dog we wanted.
The next step was to find a dog from a good home. We absolutely did not want to support illegal trade involving suffering animals, so it was very important to us that the breeder be a member of the VDH (German Kennel Club) or the LRWD e.V. (German Shepherd Dog Club). This membership requirement made us feel safe when searching online.
Nadine and Carsten had been planning to have a baby in the foreseeable future. And with the birth of the puppies came the phone call confirming that one of the little ones could be ours. Amazing! It felt like we already had a little dog again, and we were so happy about that! Admittedly, I was a little happier than my husband.
Nadine and Carsten let us participate in the whole process via webcam, WhatsApp, and Instagram. We had never observed raising puppies before; we hadn't realized how much work it involved. We always thought nature would take care of it. Around the clock(!) you cared for the mother and puppies with such devotion and love, and were there immediately when additional help was needed due to mastitis and constipation. The tiny pups grew up so well cared for, opening their eyes, standing on their feet, becoming more agile, and above all, more cheeky, and we were always there via webcam. It was so much fun to witness their progress and to see the increasing movement in the nest. You also took plenty of time for us on both of our visits. No question from us was too much trouble, and we gladly accepted every piece of advice. For example, you advised us not to be blinded by the puppy's loving gaze and to establish consistent rules from the start to avoid stress later on. The theory is sometimes so simple, but...
Our little Cummulus, whom we call Titus, has been with us for just over three months now, and he's already learned so much, but he's also quite the rascal. Klaus would probably still be wearing his new pair of shoes, my old sandals, which I've been meaning to get rid of for ages, would still be in the shoe cupboard, our wallet would be a bit fuller, the wooden carport post would still be intact, and the cornflower our neighbor gave us would still be in the garden. But our house would be so empty without our little Titus. We wouldn't want to be without this sweet little rascal.

"After it was confirmed in 2022 that we would be moving and would have a garden and the forest right around the corner, our desire to expand our still small family with a four-legged companion solidified. While searching for a robust, active, medium-sized dog, we came across the Lagotto Romagnolo. During a holiday in Croatia, we met a Lagotto on a hike and were instantly smitten. While searching for a breeder, we came across Nadine's website. We loved the wealth of information, photos, and tips. So we decided to try our luck and applied for a puppy. At the beginning of 2023, we visited Nadine and Carsten and met their Lagotti. Since there were so many interested parties and it wasn't clear how many puppies would be in the C-litter, we were initially promised a puppy from the D-litter. When we received the call in May that we would indeed be getting a puppy from the C-litter, we were absolutely thrilled. „Bacinchen“ (wie Nadine ihn immer liebevoll nannte) war für uns die Überraschung des Jahres!
Vier Jahre nachdem uns unsere erste Hündin Maya nach kurzer schwerer Krankheit verlassen musste, bewarben wir uns im Februar diesen Jahres bei Nadine und Carsten für einen Welpen.
Seit geraumer Zeit verfolgten wir bereits die Abenteuer von East und Maple mit den A-Nuggets. Wir gaben in der Bewerbung an, dass wir uns für 2023 einen Welpen wünschen, da zuhause noch einige Renovierungsarbeiten anstanden, die wir keinem Welpen zumuten wollten.
Kurze Zeit später telefonierten wir mit Nadine zum ersten Mal und eine lange Wartezeit begann. Dies dachten wir zumindest ๐.
Denn: „Unverhofft kommt oft“!
Mit Spannung verfolgten wir Maples Schwangerschaft mit den B-Nuggets und im April kontaktierte uns Nadine überraschenderweise mit der Nachricht, dass eine geplante Welpenfamilie Krankheitsbedingt abgesprungen sei. Wenn wir wollten, könnten wir dieses Jahr bereits einen Nugget bekommen, Vorausgesetzt es würden 9 Welpen geboren werden.
Danach ging das Gefühlschaos endgültig los!!
Alle Pläne wurden über den Haufen geworfen und der Hundi rückte für uns in den Vordergrund!
Drei Wochen nach der spannenden Geburt durften wir die Goldstücke zum ersten Mal besuchen. Zum Glück waren es neun geworden!
Wir schmolzen natürlich dahin und löcherten Nadine mit 1000 Fragen.
Zwei Wochen später stand der zweite Besuch an und die Neugierde wuchs, welcher Welpe es denn nun werden würde.
Nadine blieb standhaft und überzeugte uns mit ihrem Plan, uns nach dem noch ausstehenden Charaktertest erst kurzfristig den passenden Hund zuzuteilen.
Lange Rede…. es wurde „Bacino - das Küsschen!
Am 12.7.22 holten wir ihn ab. Wir waren die ersten „Abholer“ und es war sehr emotional ๐ฅฒ.
Er sei der ruhigste, entspannteste Welpe des Wurfes und dies waren genau unsere Wünsche.
„Bruno“ Bacino, wie wir ihn kurz rufen (braunes Küsschen), ist tatsächlich ein Herzchen. Die ganze Familie, Nachbarn, Freunde lieben ihn.
Er ist sehr zärtlich, entspannt, neugierig, lernwillig und mutig mit einer ordentlichen Portion „Frechheit“ die im Spiel und im Kontakt mit anderen Hunden zum Vorschein kommt.
Trotzdem die Waschmaschine ununterbrochen läuft, sämtliche Spielzeuge mittlerweile Invaliden sind und wir vom vielen Treppenlaufen in den Garten einige Kilos verloren haben, lieben wir den knuffigen Nugget abgöttisch und genießen die Welpenzeit!
Wir sind sehr stolz, einen so gut sozialisierten, positiv geprägten, wunderschönen Hund aus dieser Zucht bekommen zu haben.

Die Zeit verfliegt und Rino lebt nun schon 4 Wochen bei uns! Dankbar für dieses neue Abenteuer, das schon vor seinem Einzug für uns begonnen hat, freuen wir uns auf die Zukunft und alles was wir noch gemeinsam erleben dürfen!
Alles begann mit einem intensiven Telefonat in dem wir uns gegenseitig einen ersten Eindruck verschaffen konnten. Trotz der Entfernung konnten wir von Beginn an über Bilder, Videos und die Welpencam dabei sein. Die Aufregung stieg von Tag zu Tag und unsere beiden Besuche verstärkten die Vorfreude noch weiter! Mit Rat und vielen Tipps auch schon vor Rino´s Einzug haben Nadine und Carsten uns weitergeholfen und haben auch weiterhin noch ein offenes Ohr für aufkommende Fragen. Wir haben uns einen Wirbelwind gewünscht und jetzt schon können wir sagen, dass dieser Wunsch erfüllt wurde! Rino ist sehr aufgeschlossen, lernfreudig und stürmisch, geht Unbekanntes jedoch mit einer zurückhaltenden Neugier an. Seine ersten Stunden als Bürohund hat er mit Bravour gemeistert und wickelt jeden, egal ob Nachbarn, Spaziergänger oder Kollegen mit seinem italienischen Charme um den Finger ;)
Wir sind gespannt was die Zukunft uns bringt und freuen uns die Berge und den See mit ihm unsicher machen zu können! Nadine und Carsten haben mit ihrer Begeisterung und liebevollen Welpenstube für all das die beste Grundlage gelegt!

Cosa
Since 2018, our family has included a Lagotto Romangolo male, our "Hugo." Through him, we fell in love with the breed and quickly realized our desire for a second Lagotto, this time a female, was very strong. Several hikes with Nadine and her dogs made it clear to us that we would be thrilled to get a puppy from Nadine and Carsten's breeding program. Nadine's statement at the time was, "You'll definitely get a puppy from us!" which delighted us! And it's been our great joy ever since, because on July 1st, 2023, our little "Cosa" joined our family. I don't even need to mention how lovingly Nadine and Carsten raise their puppies—it's simply wonderful! I still remember May 6th, 2023, the day the C-litter was born. We were on our way to South Tyrol and yet were almost there for the birth of the little ones. We were so relieved, because two females were born. We were kept informed about the puppies' physical development at every stage, and after the six-week temperament test, Nadine called to say we were going to have little "Cosa." To this day, I have to say everything the test showed was spot on. "Cosa" is friendly and outgoing with everyone and gets incredibly excited whenever someone pays her attention—not to mention her tail is constantly wagging. Since our plan is to breed "Cosa," we also need to attend dog shows. In a conversation with Nadine and Carsten, it quickly became clear that to get her used to going to shows without stress, we needed to start early. So, I began training "Cosa" for the show ring (the presentation area at a dog show). And on September 9, 2023, the day finally arrived: "Cosa" participated in her first show, and what can I say? She handled it with aplomb. It's worth mentioning that it was my first time, and the same goes for the little lady. From then on, we were hooked on dog shows, and I thought, why not give it another go? I'm incredibly grateful to Nadine for her tips and knowledge, which she always shares with me whenever I have questions. "Cosa" is already a little show-off; she knows exactly what I want from her when I get out the show lead, and she's getting better and better in the ring every time. I never would have thought that showing a dog could be so much fun, and it's also wonderful to meet people who are just as crazy about it as you are. Thank you, dear Nadine, for infecting me with the "show bug"—it's addictive! I'd also like to mention that I never would have thought you could see such potential in a puppy so early on, and as I said, "Cosa" shows it every single day!
Alento
Alento moved in with us on May 8th, 2021. A new and exciting chapter has begun. The little guy is developing wonderfully and keeps us all on our toes! He's so much fun!!!
But we never imagined it would be so exciting even before Alento arrived. You took us along for the ride from the very beginning. Waiting for Maple to come into heat, the visit to the stud dog, the pregnancy, the wait for the birth, and finally, raising the little nuggets. We were there every step of the way. You always kept us updated, provided us with photos and videos, and even let us into the whelping box via webcam when the puppies were finally born. When the nuggets were a few weeks old, we were allowed to visit regularly. There, too, we repeatedly witnessed how lovingly and wholeheartedly you raised the little creatures. The puppies were able to experience so much with you – the house, the garden, the woods, different people. It was so wonderful to see how well all the puppies developed during their time with you.
We can only congratulate all future puppy families who will be getting a puppy from you. You'll receive such a wonderful little dog, already perfectly prepared for life. And on top of that, you'll receive so much guidance and support from Nadine and Carsten, and incredible transparency in everything related to the breeding program. We couldn't have asked for anything better!

Am 5.5. war es endlich soweit.
Auch beim 2. Hund ist man wieder aufgeregt und die regelmäßigen Besuche des Wurfes, die Nadine und Carsten, Corona zum Trotz möglich machten, waren doch etwas anderes: heute kommt Ancora Gemma mit uns mit, heute geht ein Wunsch in Erfüllung – Ancora una volta una cagna! Doch nochmal ein Hundemädchen๐
Nadine wurde nie müde uns mit täglichen Posts und unzähligen Fotos zu versorgen über die ersten 8,9 Wochen – einmal abgesehen von den vielen, kleinen Filmchen zu ihrer Sensibilisierung, Sozialisierung, Tipps zur Pflege und dem Umgang mit einem Lagotto.
Via Webcam konnten wir so oft wir wollten (und unser Netz es zuließ) teilhaben an der Aufzucht und der Entwicklung der Minis – es gehörte schon zum Tag dazu, mal eben zu schauen, was die Kleinen denn so machen.
Besser konnte man uns nicht vorbereiten. Mehr konnte man uns und den Hunden nicht mit auf den Weg geben. Das ist Leidenschaft und Herzblut pur! –
Nun ist Ancora Gemma schon 2 Monate bei uns-
Wo ist diese Zeit geblieben, auf was möchten wir nicht wieder verzichten?
Aufwachen morgens und gleich in diese schönen braunen Augen schauen, die Dich anschauen und fragen „geht´s Dir gut?“, die morgendlichen Schmuseeinheiten, ohne die ja gar nichts mehr geht. Der ständige, aufmerksame Blick zurück auf den Spatzgängen durch Feld, Wald und Wiese: „Bist Du noch da, ich warte auf Dich“?“ Der verschmitzte Blick aus dem Augenwinkel mit irgendeinem Spielzeug im Fang: „ Spielst Du nun endlich mit mir, ich bin jetzt dran!“…
Ein Leben ohne Hund ist doof, sagte mein Mann nach fast 2 Jahren ohne. Wie recht er hatte- so schnell hat das Leben wieder einen Hunde-Rhythmus. Und dieser Lagotto machte es einem in keiner Sekunde schwer. Gemma ist ein fröhliches, ausgeglichenes Hundemädchen, das schnell lernt, schon seinen eigenen Kopf hat – aber ihn nie über Gebühr austestet. Sie lässt sich problemlos an alles heranführen, ist zuweilen vorsichtig, aber nicht über Gebühr ängstlich und hat in den 2 Monaten schon ordentlich an Selbstbewusstsein dazu gewonnen. Es gab auch noch nicht eine Menschen- oder Hundebegegnung, die nicht problemlos ablief. Sie ordnet sich unter, wenn nötig und hat ganz schnell raus was geht und was besser nicht.
Gemma hat sich schnell zum Reisehund entwickelt, begleitet uns überall mit hin – würde am liebsten schon alleine in die Autobox springen – Beine sind noch zu kurz –, begleitet uns im Anhänger bei Fahrradtouren und im Rucksack beim Wandern.
Durch Nadines Homeoffice haben die Welpen früh kennengelernt, dass Menschen am Tisch arbeiten und hund sich am besten schlafend darunter legt – super Vorarbeit für das Szenario Hund im Büro๐ Klappt wunderbar – und wenn Papa langweilt, guckt hund dann eben mal in den anderen Räumen kurz in den Papierkorb, oder ob ne Hand zum Streicheln runterkommt, sprich hund sorgt für phantastisches „Raumklima“๐
Gemma im Atelier kann man nicht in Worte fassen, das ist bildnerisch besser darzustellen – sie ist durchaus ein kreatives Hundekind und kreative Kinder soll man arbeiten lassen – wir lassen sie๐ Sie hat schnell kapiert, wenn gearbeitet wird, muss ich ruhig sein oder mich selbst beschäftigen und zaubert auf diesem Wege immer wieder ein Lächeln auf unsere Gesichter!

We had been eagerly anticipating it for months…and on May 7th, 2021, it finally happened!
Before our adventure with Schröder even began, we experienced a lot beforehand. Even before Maple's "heat phase," we had the opportunity to meet Nadine, Carsten, and the dogs. This was fantastic for us as Lagotto Romagnolo beginners!
When things really got underway, Nadine kept us informed about every update, from when she came into heat until the puppies were born. Through social media, we were also able to experience her daily life as a breeder and with the dogs. In addition, Nadine and Carsten gave us the opportunity to watch the whelping box and puppy run via webcam at any time. We were able to follow every step of the process.
From the second week after their birth, we were allowed to visit the puppies weekly and see them for ourselves. These weekly visits allowed Nadine and Carsten to get to know us better, so they could choose the perfect (I deliberately say perfect) puppy for us. We chose Ardito (Schröder). And what can we say? He's a perfect fit for us!
The contact didn't end after the handover. Nadine and Carsten support us with advice and practical help, whether it's with questions or grooming.

After meeting eachother on the last dogshow in 2020 before the lock-down kicked-in we kept in touch about using Goati as a stud for Maple. At the end of 2020 Maple was in heat, after a short but exiciting period we got the message that Maple was pregnant. Great news! Since day one we kept in touch about Maple, her pregnancy and whats next.
After a period of pregnancy Maple gave birth to 8 beautiful puppies. They had the luxury to have two moms (Maple and Nadine) and one (live) dad (Carsten). They grew up in a safe and lovely environment with a good balance between rest en playtime.
We were able to visit them whenever we wanted. We used that to see Goati's babies, but especially to see the puppies grow. Although this wasnt a necessity because of the excellent communication via whatsapp, instagram or website from Nadine and Carsten. But still.. seeing the puppies live is so much better then the only digital.
In the end we choose Ampio (now: Primo – as in ‘First’ -) which required a longer stay (because of the rules concerned rabiës). Nadine and Carsten made sure he didnt feel lonely and taught him a lot about getting brushed and groomed. Resulting in an energetic but also relaxed dog.
Nadine and Carsten put a lot (!) of time in this litter and in (spreading) their knowledge about the breed, about taking care of the dog, etc.
I’m sure the fantastic-8 had a great start in their (hopefully) long and happy life.

(Pino)
nach unserer Bewerbung nach einem Lagotto Welpen haben wir uns im August 2020 kennengelernt. Nicht nur wir wollten wissen, wer die Züchterin und wer hinter der Zucht steht – auch Du wolltest wissen, wem gebe ich eigentlich einen Welpen?
So sind wir in Verbindung geblieben. Wir haben gehofft und auf ein positives Zeichen von Dir gewartet. Dann kam es. Kay und ich (Anne) waren überglücklich. Du hast uns mit sämtlichen Daten täglich über Maples Befinden informiert. Nicht nur Du warst aufgeregt – unsere Gedanken und Wünsche waren bei Euch in Marl. Dann war die Zeit gekommen – Hitze, Deckakt und Ultraschall – was waren das für aufregende Zeiten!!!
Am 02.03. war es dann soweit. Es kamen erst sieben auf einen Streich – nein, es kam noch ein weiterer, 8. Welpe auf die Welt.
Eine wahnsinnig interessante, tägliche und liebevolle Informationswelle durften wir von Dir und Deinen fleißigen Helfer*innen miterleben und haben diese verfolgt. Du hast dieses mit sehr viel Liebe wundervoll an uns allen zukünftigen Welpenfamilien weitergegeben.
Nach unserem 2. Besuch wussten wir, dass wir Maples 2.-Geborenen, den Alpino, zu uns holen dürfen. Wir waren sooooo überglücklich (bei diesem Satz muss ich (Anne) doch tatsächlich heulen und es tropft eine Träne auf die Tastatur).
Am 1. Mai war es dann soweit – wir holten unseren Alpino – ab nun von uns Pino genannt – von Euch ab. Auch da liefen wieder Tränen bei mir und bei Dir, liebe Nadine.
Nach einer ruhigen Fahrt mit mehreren Pausen waren wir dann zu Hause. Da haben wir erst richtig erlebt, was ein sozialisierter Welpe ist. Du, liebe Nadine, hast wahre Meisterleistung erbracht. Pino ist ein sehr relaxter und zurückhaltender Welpe. Nichtsdestotrotz ist er sehr aufmerksam und ist an allen Dingen interessiert, außerdem sehr schlau und pfiffig. Wir sind nur am Staunen. Wir lieben ihn „abgöttisch“.
Erst nach einer langen Schmuseeinheit morgens, die er einfordert, fängt unser Tagesablauf an. Er zaubert allen Menschen ein Lächeln ins Gesicht – uns verzaubert er jeden Tag aufs Neue. Auch auf unseren Reisen mit dem Camper verhält er sich relaxt. Es macht ihm viel Spaß in Nord- und Ostsee zu toben.
Des Weiteren möchten wir uns ganz herzlich für die vielen Tipps, Infos und für die Scherstunde und -hilfe bedanken. Du bist immer für alle Fragen offen gewesen und hast sofort Hilfestellung geleistet - auch jetzt immer noch für uns da.

Liebevoll, warmherzig, unterstützend, begleitend, hingabevoll, Zusammenarbeit…. Das sind die Wörter, die uns als erstes in den Kopf kommen, wenn wir an die Zucht von Nadine und Carsten denken.
Vor mittlerweile schon 3 Monaten zog unser neues Familienmitglied bei uns ein. Doch die gemeinsame Reise mit unserem Augurio begann schon viel früher, auch als noch gar nicht feststand, dass genau er zu uns kommen wird. Nadine und Carsten nahmen uns von Anfang an mit. Sie versorgten uns immer mit Fotos, Videos und Berichten von Maples Läufigkeit bis hin zur Aufzucht der Kleinen. Als die Nuggets dann endlich geboren waren konnten wir sie auch regelmäßig zuhause besuchen. Während des gesamten Ablaufs verpassten wir quasi nichts, wodurch die Vorfreude auf unseren Hund von Tag zu Tag stieg und wir uns gut auf den Einzug unseres ersten Hundes vorbereitet fühlten.
Am 2.5.2021 ist Augurio schließlich bei uns eingezogen. Er lebte sich relativ schnell ein und auch wir gewöhnten uns schnell an ihn. Damit hörte der Kontakt zu Nadine und Carsten jedoch nicht auf. Noch heute und sicherlich auch weiterhin stehen wir in regelmäßigem Kontakt mit den beiden und genießen ihre Unterstützung jeglicher Art bei der Erziehung und Pflege unseres Hundes.
Sein Name hat die Bedeutung ,,Wunsch" und unserer Meinung nach passt das wie angegossen zu ihm. Nicht nur weil er ein absoluter ,,Wunschhund" für uns ist, der auch noch perfekt zu uns passt, sondern auch aus dem Grund, dass er es immer schafft jedem von uns ein Lächeln auf's Gesicht zu zaubern und uns mit seinem tollen Auftreten und seiner bezaubernden Art immer wieder um seine kleinen Pfoten wickelt. Da er ein sehr aufgeschlossener und Menschen zugetaner Hund ist, macht er das nicht nur bei uns, sondern auch bei allen anderen, denen er beim Spazierengehen begegnet. Mittlerweile ist er schon fast stadtbekannt und wird von vielen schon von Weitem mit Namen begrüßt. Außerdem liest Augurio uns mit seinem sensiblen Wesen jeden Wunsch von den Lippen ab, hört für sein Alter schon echt gut und ist ein kleiner Streber in der Hundeschule. Gerade für uns als Hundeanfänger ist es schön einen Hund zu haben, der bereits von Beginn an mithilfe von Frühstimulation etc. von Nadine und Carsten auf sein Leben vorbereitet wurde, da er vergleichsweise wirklich leicht zu erziehen und handzuhaben ist. Noch dazu ist uns aufgefallen, dass wir alle mehr lachen, mehr zusammen unternehmen und mehr Zeit draußen verbringen seitdem Augurio bei uns ist. Alles in allem ist der kleine Fratz einfach ein wunderbarer, aktiver und lernwilliger Hund, den wir uns nicht besser vorstellen könnten, was ohne die Hingabe von Nadine und Carsten definitiv nicht der Fall wäre.
Wir sind uns sicher in euch beiden super gute Züchter und Menschen gefunden zu haben und danken euch ganz herzlich für alles! :)
